Some summary writing practice and comments

Dear students,

As  part of  the study guide you should complete about "The Ransom of Red Chief", you are asked to summarize the plot line.That task will surelly help you to study for your exams.As a complementary summary practice,we invite you to do the following task  to share with your classmates:

•  Try to explain in  a few words (100/150) what "The Ransom of Red Chief" is about, as if you were writing a brief review for a book cover or newspaper.You do not need to include as many details as for a  plot line summary. 
• Once you finish your task, you can send it by mail or hand it in  to any of us .
• We will re-distribute /send your summaries (with no names on them) among /to your classmates, for peer assessment.
• Then each of you should re-send/hand in  the summary you've received with a short feed-back comment about it (Are the ideas clear? - Anything you would change ? Why? Is there anything missing? )
• Once the whole process is finished, you'll receive our feedback of the summaries you have  written.

This task is open to all the students in this course, not just to the ones who attend the tutorials.We hope this may help you to practise your summary strategies towards the mid-term exam
